Project Overview
Befiler is a joint initiative of a team of leading tax professionals and technology enthusiasts. The initiative aims to simplify tax return filing process for individuals; especially salaried class and promote the culture of documentation. It aims to enhance the number of tax filers and enhancing tax base of the country, at the same time, reduce huge cost to ordinary citizens who have to suffer cost of being non-filers.
SEDF’s Assistance
SEDF extended a working capital subsidy to Befiler primarily to facilitate the Tax Season Marketing and the development of Sales Force Automation Software. As a pioneering effort, SEDF has backed this initiative to enhance the registration of individuals within the tax bracket and to encourage them to register as filers. This application operates on an international scale, assisting Non-Resident Pakistanis in fulfilling their tax registration obligations in Pakistan.
